Salary: £64,165 - £71,985 per annum pro rata (Soulbury Scale B 8–11, plus up to 3 SPA points, subject to experience)

Are you an aspiring and inspirational leader in the profession with a desire to take the next step in your career? Central Bedfordshire Council is seeking a dynamic Senior EP to join our forward-thinking and innovative EPS.
As a Senior EP, you will have a key leadership role position so that you are integral in shaping and delivering high-quality psychological services across the local authority. You will support the Head of Service and Principal EP in strategic development, supervision, and service improvement, while also maintaining a direct impact on children, young people, and families through casework and consultation.
- Provide professional supervision and support to EP colleagues and trainees.
- Lead service development initiatives and contribute to strategic planning.
- Deliver high-quality psychological assessments, interventions, and consultations.
- Work collaboratively with schools, settings, and multi-agency partners.
- Support the development of inclusive practices and evidence-based approaches.
- Contribute to training and CPD across the service and wider workforce.
- Leadership & Supervision: Ability to mentor and support EPs and trainees, fostering a culture of reflective practice and continuous improvement.
- Strategic Thinking: Experience in service development, project leadership, and contributing to strategic priorities.
- Communication: Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with a range of stakeholders.
- Analytical Thinking: Strong skills in psychological formulation, assessment, and intervention planning.
- Collaboration: Proven ability to work effectively within multi-disciplinary teams and build strong partnerships.
- Innovation: Commitment to evidence-based practice and openness to new approaches and models of service delivery.
- Resilience & Adaptability: Ability to manage complex situations with professionalism and empathy.
You will be a HCPC-registered Educational Psychologist with substantial post-qualification experience and a strong commitment to inclusive education. You’ll bring:
- Proven leadership and coaching / mentoring and supervision skills.
- A reflective and research-informed approach to practice.
- Experience in service development or project leadership.
- Committed to coproduction and neuro affirming practice.
