Senior Communications Officer - People

Team: COM - Business Partner - People Team

Job Family: Providing - CBG11

Salary: £38,479 - £41,632 per annum pro rata

Hours: 22.2 hours per week

Location: You will be expected to attend a CBC office location as often as needed to carry out your role, which will be no less than once per month.

Contract Type: Hybrid - Fixed Term - 1 Year Maternity leave cover

About the role:

We’re looking for a talented Senior Communications Officer to provide external communications support on a range of services including adult social care, children’s services and housing.

 

You’ll be involved in explaining council plans and services - so local people know what we’re doing, how they can get involved and how they can take advantage of some of our services. 

 

You’ll know how to create compelling campaigns, target different audiences and develop successful communication strategies to achieve our objectives.

 

With the council continually delivering new projects for the community, you’ll have plenty of exciting things to share. With good news sense and editorial skills too, you’ll be adept at crafting messages both for sensitive and positive stories.

 

You’ll be part of a wider vibrant Communications team that includes marketing, branding, website management, consultation and internal communications.
