Location: You will be expected to attend a CBC office location as often as needed to carry out your role, which will be no less than once per month.

About the role
Our Building Control Team provide a high quality, efficient service to ensure that buildings are constructed safely in accordance with the Building Regulations and associated legislation to help make Central Bedfordshire a great place to live and work. As part of that team your responsibilities as an Admin Support Officer will assist in providing a high-quality customer focused service.
The key skills and experience the candidate will need
To be a confident communicator, you will need to demonstrate attention to detail and the ability to prioritise your workload efficiently and effectively to meet required timescales and deadlines. You will also be I.T. literate and have a good level of numeracy and literacy skills.
Experience of working in a customer focused environment along with previous admin experience is essential for this role though full training, along with relevant monitoring and mentoring will be provided.
What is the role?
We are looking for an experienced and motivated Administrator who is keen to work as part of a dynamic team dealing with a varied, interesting and busy workload with the ability to work from home.
The roles main duties and responsibilities include the registration and processing of Building Control applications, creating and correctly storing all the relevant documentation to enable the applications to reach completion. Booking in site inspections received via email and telephone, responding to written and verbal enquiries, providing relevant information in accordance with data protection (GDPR), according to your level of ability. Carrying out Land Charge searches, taking payments and raising invoices.
As part of your induction, you will attend Priory House in Shefford for your first two weeks to receive full training. Following successful completion of your induction, hybrid working arrangements will be available.
