About the role:
Central Bedfordshire Council has its own vision and values that are integral to everything we do. Our area vision is to make Central Bedfordshire 'A great place to live and work’.

Here in our Housing Service, we want to help our residents in all walks of life achieve their potential and improve their circumstances. We work to ensure the needs and wishes of all residents are heard, represented and they are empowered to achieve personal, social and economic success.

As a GRT site manager you will have previous experience in a similar role as you will be responsible for all aspects of the site and community matters. This is a busy role that can change daily so you will need to have good organisation skills and a positive attitude. You will be dealing with rent arrears, inspecting and maintaining sites and dealing with anti-social behaviour therefore you will need to be a strong negotiator, have good listening skills, be resilient and able to deal with difficult situations. Given the need to travel across the county a driving licence and access to a car is essential.

You will work with your customers, your colleagues and the wider team in achieving the council priorities and objectives in relation to council owned gypsy and traveller’s sites. You’ll be part of a varied and dedicated high performing team where flexibility, hard work, passion and commitment go a long way. This is an opportunity to become part of a busy high functioning team and is a real chance to make a difference in a friendly team that will support you along the way.
