Salary: £45,326 - £50,436 per annum pro rata
Hours: 37 hours per week
Location: You will be expected to attend a CBC office location as often as needed to carry out your role, which will be no less than once per month.
Contract Type: Hybrid - 12 Months Fixed Term

We’re currently seeking a Team Leader with expert knowledge of homelessness legislation, including the Housing Act Part 7 and the Homelessness Reduction Act 2017, to lead our specialist Homeless Intervention Team.
As Team Leader, you’ll manage a dedicated team focused on delivering person-centred services that prevent and relieve homelessness. You’ll drive continuous improvement across our homeless intervention and private sector services, helping residents access the support they need.
You’ll oversee:
- One Senior Officer and a small team of Officers
Together, you’ll ensure high-quality, day-to-day services are delivered to those affected by homelessness, while meeting strategic and operational objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and deliver special projects, such as homelessness initiatives.
- Ensure statutory homelessness duties are met to a high standard.
- Empower residents through effective service delivery and demand management.
- Support the Homeless Intervention Manager in driving service improvements aligned with legislation and the Homelessness and Rough Sleeping Strategy.
- Build strong partnerships with colleagues, public bodies, and housing providers to create effective pathways and protocols
About You
To succeed in this role, you’ll need:
- In-depth knowledge of homelessness prevention and relief, and relevant legislation/guidance.
- Proven experience working collaboratively with internal and external partners to achieve positive outcomes.
- Strong interpersonal skills and a commitment to excellent customer service.
- The ability to lead, motivate, and support your team.
- A degree or equivalent qualification, or substantial experience in the homelessness sector with evidence of continued professional development.
