About the Role:

Here in our Housing Service we want to help our residents in all walks of life achieve their potential and improve their circumstances. We work to ensure the needs and wishes of all residents are heard, represented and they are empowered to achieve personal, social and economic success. As part of the Home Ownership Team you can play your part by providing a professional and efficient service to our residents.

You’ll be part of a dedicated team where flexibility and commitment go a long way. You will ensure our service operates smoothly by dealing with email and phone enquiries giving effective and helpful advice and information.

You will be dealing with enquiries from leaseholders and independent living shared owners  so knowledge of legal or leaseholder work would be an advantage.

You will also be dealing with a range of issues raised by residents such as neighbour disputes, anti-social behaviour so an awareness of housing management would be an advantage.

You will be joining us at an exciting time as we move to a new housing IT system, so an appetite to learn and embrace challenge will be essential.

Full training will be provided across all aspects of the role, but we are looking for someone who has good IT skills and is a good communicator. This is a busy role so you will need to have organisation skills and a positive attitude.

You will also need to carry out visits and attend various office locations where required, therefore a full current driving licence and access to a car is essential.

This is an opportunity to learn about leasehold, shared ownership and wider social housing management, developing key skills and knowledge to help develop a career. Previous employees within this role have gone on to progress within the team and the wider housing service so we have several success stories and this is a great opportunity for the right person who is keen to learn and succeed.

Come and join as us a Neighbourhood Housing Assistant; this is a real chance to make a difference in a friendly team that will support you along the way!
