Housing Services Manager

Team: Housing Regulation & Strategic Initiatives

Job Family: Enabling M – CBG14
Salary: £55,675 - £60,323 per annum pro rata
Hours:  37 hours per week

Location: You will be expected to attend a CBC office location as often as needed to carry out your role, which will be no less than once per month.

Contract Type: Hybrid - Permanent

About the role: 

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced housing professional to join the Housing Regulation and Strategic Initiatives service area as a Housing Services Manager. This role will support the Council in developing, improving, and delivering a wide range of initiatives and business infrastructure that underpins Service Plan objectives and the wellbeing of staff.

Key Responsibilities

You will lead on tenant involvement, complaint handling and regulatory improvement and assurance for the Housing Service. Ensuring that policies, processes and upskilling is provided so that;

  • tenants and prospective tenants are treated with fairness and respect
  • clear and accessible information is available to tenants and that they are informed of their rights and responsibilities
  • that all complaints are addressed fairly, effectively and promptly
  • ensure that landlord services are accessible and that the accessibility is publicised to tenants.
  • allow tenants to be supported by representatives or advocates in interactions about landlord services

 

You will be responsible for delivering multiple complex work programmes within agreed timescales, budgets, and with clear outcomes. Whilst upholding professional standards and competence across the housing service, ensuring staff are supported and trained so that services are delivered to the highest quality

 

About You
You’ll bring proven experience of working within a Housing Service with an understanding housing legislation, consumer standards, regulatory requirements and complaint handling. You’re passionate about delivering high-quality, person-centred support and have experience in leading teams and managing complex services. You must hold a Level 4 housing qualification or be willing to work towards one.
