Principal Building Control Surveyor

Team: CDS - Building Control

Job Family: Directing CGB13
Salary: £48,585 - £52,547 per annum pro rata + MRS (makret Rate Supplement) £1,500 per annum pro rata

Hours: 37 hours per week

Base Location: You will be expected to attend a CBC office location as often as needed to carry out your role, which will be no less than once per month

Contract Type: Hybrid - Permanent

This is an opportunity for an experienced Principal Building Control Surveyor to join our Building Control team and to help deliver the Council’s Building Control duties with safe and compliant buildings. Applicants should be able to demonstrate an understanding of Building Control processes and experience working in a building control service.  The work involves managing a range of building control duties to deal with varied projects in urban and rural locations around the Council area. We offer a hybrid working environment with a blend of local office hubs, site work and home working. This role will work closely with colleagues, team members, our regulatory partners and our applicants and deals with regulatory compliance, enforcement, and all aspects of Building Regulations.

 

You will have a degree (or equivalent qualification and experience) in Building Control Surveying and be eligible for BSR registration as a Class 2 building inspector.  You will have strong communication skills and can show experience and evidence of working on a range of projects.
