SEND Business Support Officer

Team: SEND Business Support Team, Children & Families Service

Job Family: Providing - CBG7 
Salary: £27,711 - £30,060 per annum pro rata 
Hours: 37 hours per week 

Location: You will be expected to attend a CBC office location as often as needed to carry out your role, which will be no less than once per month. 

Contract Type: Hybrid - Permanent

About the role

 

We are seeking to recruit a Business Support Officer to join the SEND Business Support Team, which sits within the Children and Families Service of Central Bedfordshire Council. You will be part of a friendly and supportive team that provide high level business support across the different areas of the SEND Service. 

 

Our ideal candidate will be enthusiastic and hardworking, with a pro-active and flexible approach, and will have previous experience of working in a business support role. The ability and willingness to thrive whilst working in a busy environment, and to remain calm and focused when under pressure, is essential. You will have solid IT skills and will be experienced in using a range of Microsoft  applications. Also, as part of the role, you will record and maintain information on a service specific database for which full training will be provided. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, are essential as well as a demonstrable commitment to providing excellent customer care. Organising and supporting regular SEND panels is a key aspect of the role, so experience in providing administrative support to meetings and minute taking is required. Experience of supporting financial processes is also highly desirable as you will be raising purchase requistions and recording financial transactions on behalf of the service area.
