About the role:
Our Reablement & Step Up/Step Down services put residents at the heart of everything we do. Following an accident or illness, sometimes people need a helping hand to get back to everyday life. That’s where our Reablement Service comes in. Our goal is to help people to get back on their feet – and regain their independence.
Join us as a Senior Administrator, and you’ll find your greatness supporting our multi-disciplinary staff teams of reablement workers, coordinators, and therapists as they care for those who need it most. As an experienced senior administrator, you’ll play a pivotal role in ensuring our ‘back office’ functions deliver a robust level of support to enable our teams to do their job at the highest standards in line with our directorate’s values and priorities.
The role involves:
- Scheduling the daily Reablement programme using our bespoke rostering system so that visits to people we support are appropriately planned
- Monitoring service capacity ensuring sufficient levels to meet the needs of people we support
- Provide and manage spreadsheet systems, monitoring, updating, and analysing data as and when required to a high and accurate standard, checking accuracy and prioritising work.
- Provide and manage word processing systems, drafting letters, preparing documents and correspondence as and when required to a high and accurate standard, checking accuracy and prioritising workload.
- Provide an effective link with all levels of local authority personnel and other organisations.
- Provide an effective link with members of the public. In particular, families and representatives of people using care services.
- Undertake procurement as required, dealing with invoices in a timely manner, and answer any financial queries, ensuring that invoices match up to purchase orders to facilitate prompt payment.
We’re looking for someone with strong Maths and English skills (to GCSE grade C standard or equivalent), who has proven experience in Microsoft Office alongside IT systems designed to schedule workflows in a domiciliary care setting would be advantageous. You will also ideally have experience of providing senior administrative support with excellent organisational skills and attention to detail. You’ll be part of a small team and be provided with clear guidance on the specific administrative tasks required of you.
