Salary:
Level 1 Social Worker: £33,731 - £36,397 per annum, pro rata - Plus MRS £5,100 per annum, pro rata
Level 2 Social Worker: £37,828 - £38,826 per annum pro rata - Plus MRS £5,150 per annum, pro rata & Enhanced MRS £3,850 per annum, pro rata
Hours: 37 hours per week
Location: Working from home and any CBC offices, including Priory House, Shefford. You will be expected to attend a CBC office location as often as needed to carry out your role, which will be no less than once per month.
Contract Type: Hybrid - Permanent and Fixed Term Contracts Available

We are recruiting experienced and compassionate Social Workers who have at least one year’s post qualifying experience and a good understanding of how to apply different social work theories and models, which support ideas and the delivery of imaginative ambitious interventions that improve outcomes for children, young people, and their families.

Families have told us there are too many transition points for children and we have listened. Social Workers now support children from assessment onwards enabling them to build up meaningful relationships with families and create lasting change. We focus on ensuring children receive timely support and reduce the number of children we have coming into local authority care.
About you
You will have:
- Experience in managing a varied caseload of children, visiting families, completing direct work with children to understand their views and lived experiences.
- Experience chairing multi-agency meetings and liaising with a range of other professionals to support our most vulnerable children.
- Proven experience having an impact on families in achieving positive outcomes for children
- Excellent verbal communication skills to enable you to communicate effectively with children, parents and other agencies, and the written skills to present high-quality assessments and reports.
- A passion for delivery of high quality services and interventions to vulnerable children
