Salary: £42,630 - £47,572 per annum pro rata
Hours: 37 hours per week
Location: You will be expected to attend a CBC office location as often as needed to carry out your role, which will be no less than once per month
Contract Type: Hybrid – Fixed Term or Secondment opportunity (1 year)

About the role:
Central Bedfordshire Council is excited to offer this opportunity to join our Strategic Commissioning Team (Children’s Services) in the post of Strategic Commissioning Officer. The Childrens Strategic Commissioning team is responsible for developing and enabling the provision of services that support children, young people and their families so that they can achieve better and sustainable outcomes, as identified through the commissioning cycle. Ensuring a high quality and value for money integrated commissioning service.
We’re looking for an innovative and experienced Strategic commissioning officer to join our team, who will drive forward our strategic commissioning activities and priorities. You will work closely with key stakeholders to commission services that remain needs based, cost effective, high-quality and demonstrate measurable impact.
You will have a proven track record in commissioning, procurement and/or service design, with a solid understanding of Children’s Services. With strong analytical & communication skills and a commitment to improving outcomes for children, young people and their families.
