Job Family: Supporting - CBG3
Salary: £23,656 - £24,027 per annum pro rata (Hourly rate £12.27 - £12.46 per hour)
Hours: 0 hours per week, as required by the service (Working pattern, mainly Monday to Friday between hours of 9-5pm , with occasional weekend duties with notice)
Location: Various locations across BMLK. You will be expected to attend a CBC office location as often as needed to carry out your role, which will be no less than once per month
Contract Type: Hybrid - Fixed Term until 12/08/2026

About the role
The Main objectives of the Support Worker role is to help facilitate the work of the Local offer Information and Engagement Officer’s role in face to face engagement. We require a Support Worker to assist with these practicalities in order to help with enabling independence.
Duties will include (but not limited to):
- Assistance with manual handling of wheelchair
- Assistance throughout engagement duties as required
- Assistance with carrying and setting up of local offer stand
- Any other duties as required by the Officer
Bespoke training in the client’s particular requirements will be provided
The Team
The Co-production & Engagement Team sit within The Education, SEND and Inclusion Directorate, within The Children & Families Service. The team work to ensure that co-production is central to improving SEND services. The team is also responsible for maintaining and developing the Local Offer Website. The Local Offer Information & Engagement Officer has responsibility for the engagement and education of stakeholders about the content of the local offer website and this is done virtually as well providing regular face to face engagement across children’s centres, libraries, school coffee mornings in Central Bedfordshire as well as specific occasional events across BMLK locality.
