Supported Employment Officer

Team: CAS - Employment Support Team

Job Family: Advising - CBG7

Salary: £28,598 – £31,022 per annum pro rata

Hours: 37 hours per week 

Location: You will be expected to attend a CBC office location as often as needed to carry out your role, which will be no less than once per month

Contract Type: Secondment / Fixed Term Contract - 12 months

About the role

We are currently looking to appoint a Supported Employment Officer to help us Improve employment outcomes for people with learning disabilities. 

 

Who we are looking for;

  • A proactive, empathetic, adaptable and flexible person with excellent communication skills and a passion for working with people with learning disabilities or a similar client group.
  • You will need to have experience of working with adults with learning disabilities or a similar client group.
  • Have a passion and commitment to the people you support to find the right job for them.
  • Good organisational skills are essential for this role in addition to having the ability to multitask and manage your workload effectively.
  • Experience of employment support delivery, for example CV writing and job applications is essential
  • There will be an expectation of practical 1-2-1 support in delivering employment skills.  
  • Able to establish, develop and maintain constructive and professional relationships with a wide variety of internal and external stakeholders.
