Team: Adult Social Care - Redwood Step Up/Step Down Unit

Salary: £28,598 - £31,022 per annum pro-rata
Contract: Fixed Location - Permanent
Hours: 37 hours per week- 1 position available
Base location: Redwood, Houghton Regis, occasionally covering Evergreen, Ampthill

About the role:
Our Reablement & Step Up/Step Down services put residents at the heart of everything we do. This could be following an accident or illness, sometimes people need a helping hand to get back to everyday life. That’s where our Unit Support Staff come in. Our goal is to help people to get back on their feet – and regain their independence.
Become a Unit Co-ordinator, and you’ll find your greatness supervising our team of Unit Support Workers as they care for those who need it most. You’ll enable them to do their job at the highest standards, arranging training, monitoring their performance, and ensuring procedures are followed, championing best practice.
You’ll carry out assessments of residents to determine the level of care and support they need – and put the wheels in motion to make it all happen. You’ll demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills and be a natural carer.
To support your team weekend working will be required and occasional night shifts.
For this role, you need an NVQ Level 3 in Care (or equivalent qualifications and experience), plus a knack for writing reports and co-ordinating people.
