Salary: £23,656 - £24,027 per annum pro rata
Hours: 7.5 hours per week, term time only - Split shifts- 07:55-08:50 and 15:20 -15:55
Base Location: School Crossing Patrol site on Dunstable Street, Ampthill outside of Richmond Manor Care Home
Contract Type: Fixed - Permanent

About the role:
Would you like to help your local community and get paid at the same time?
If so, we are currently recruiting for a School Crossing Patrol Attendant based at Dunstable Street, Ampthill outside of Richmond Manor Care Home. Applicants should have an understanding of road use and traffic awareness as you will be controlling and directing traffic at the crossing point for the purpose of a safer route for children on their journey to and from school. All training and uniform will be provided.

This post is exempt from the rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and therefore will be subject to a DBS check from the Disclosure and Barring Service this will be carried out prior to appointment.
REQUIREMENTS OF THE JOB
- Monday to Friday in term time, morning and afternoon split working.
- Outside working in all weathers and traffic conditions.
- Ability to follow straightforward oral and written instructions and to keep basic work records.
- Ability to work outdoors all year round.
- A commitment to providing a quality service to customers.
