About the role

In our Children and Families directorate, we aim to give every child excellent care and a promising future. By supporting families and keeping children safe, we're helping to make CBC a great place to live. As a Family Worker, you will be critical to the success of the 0 - 12's Family Service and in the delivery of The Best Start In Life Family Hubs. In this important and varied role, you will be part of a team offering a welcoming and accessible service that meets and adapts to local needs. Day to day, you will be working with other agencies to offer a range of drop ins, groups and programmes that support children's emotional, social, cognitive and physical needs, keeping an eye on risk to ensure they are safe. You will support families to help themselves by working with them to identify their needs, suggesting support and services, and enable them to achieve their goals.
