Job Family: Managing 16
Salary: £73,410 - £78,758 per annum pro rata

Hours: 37 per week. 

Location: You will be expected to attend a CBC office location as often as needed to carry out your role, which will be no less than twice per month. 

Contract Type: Hybrid - Permanent

We are seeking an experienced leader to join our Senior Management Team and play a key role in delivering high-profile frontline services across our communities in Central Bedfordshire.

This is an opportunity to lead services that make a real difference to our communities, working collaboratively across the Council and with our external partners.

 

What you will do:

  • Lead the delivery of safer communities in line with Central Bedfordshire priorities and the Community Safety Partnership.
  • Build on the strong reputation of our Public Space CCTV service, expanding the use of state-of-the-art technology.
  • Work closely with colleagues in Development Control and Public Health to deliver effective services for Gypsy, Traveller and Romany communities.
  • Ensure parking enforcement and back-office teams are compliant, efficient, and delivering a consistent service across Central Bedfordshire.

  • Leading and improving frontline public services.
  • Budget management and ensuring value for money.
  • Developing and sustaining effective partnerships to deliver shared priorities.
