Care Payments Officer

Job Family: Providing - CBG7

Salary: £28,598 - £31,022 per annum

Hours: 37 hours per week  

Location: You will be expected to attend a CBC office location as often as needed to carry out your role, which will be no less than once per month. 

Contract type: Hybrid - Permanent

About the role

An opportunity has arisen to join us as a Care Payments Officer. This is a key role within a fast-paced and dedicated team, working to support all the financial aspects of payments for Adult and Childrens care packages, which includes payment of invoices, dealing with providers and any payment queries.

 

In this role, you will be:

  • Processing and managing payments for Adult and Childrens care packages.
  • Working closely with colleagues and stakeholders to ensure timely and accurate financial transactions.
  • Supporting financial queries and reconciliation tasks.
  • Using financial systems to input, track, and report on care-related payments.

 

What we're looking for:

  • Previous experience in a finance-related role.
  • Familiarity with financial systems and processes.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong organisational and communication skills.
  • Experience with Care Director and/or SAP is desirable.

All new starters will join us on a four‑month probationary period. During this time, if you are offered a Hybrid role you will be required to attend a Central Bedfordshire Council office location more frequently to support thorough and well‑supported onboarding into your role. Please keep this in mind if you anticipate extensive travel to Central Bedfordshire.
