About the Role:

Find your greatness by joining our Non-Emergency Patient Transport Team (NEPT) as one of our Ambulance Driver/ Care Assistants. You’ll support non-emergency passengers by providing first class, safe care during the transport of SEND children to and from schools and colleges. You’ll also provide the same quality of care when transporting passengers between hospital/clinic appointments and their home
Being able to remain calm under pressure is key, as is being willing to undertake training to broaden your knowledge of medical and mental health conditions. A flexible, adaptable approach is required as every day will be different.
You must have a full unrestricted D1/PCV vehicle licence to carry out this role.
For this role you will be require you to work at both our Thorn Turn Depot in Grendall Lane, LU5 6DJ and our Sandy Depot at Beamish Close, SG19 1SD dependant on the needs of the business, so the ability to travel between the two locations is vital.
You’ll be able to read, write and speak English fluently and be able to understand and follow policies and procedures supplied to you.
