Senior Administrator

Team: Community Reablement and Step Up/Step Down Services

Job Family: Providing - CBG7
Salary: £26,421 - £28,770 per annum pro rata
Hours: 37 hours per week

Location: You will be expected to attend a CBC office location as often as needed to carry out your role, which will be no less than once per month.

Contract Type: Hybrid - Permanent

About the role:

Our Reablement & Step Up/Step Down services put residents at the heart of everything we do. Following an accident or illness, sometimes people need a helping hand to get back to everyday life. That’s where our Reablement Service comes in. Our goal is to help people to get back on their feet – and regain their independence.

 

Join us as a Senior Administrator, and you’ll find your greatness supporting our multi-disciplinary staff teams of reablement workers, coordinators, and therapists as they care for those who need it most. As an experienced senior administrator, you’ll play a pivotal role in ensuring our ‘back office’ functions deliver a robust level of support to enable our teams to do their job at the highest standards in line with our directorate’s values and priorities, through the supervision and line management of our small team of administrators you will create and maintain a positive team ethos and set example in all aspects of your work. 

 

The role involves:

  • Provide confidential and anticipatory support to day-to-day operations of the Reablement & Step-Up Step-Down management team
  • Provide and manage spreadsheet systems, monitoring, updating, and analysing data as and when required to a high and accurate standard, checking accuracy and prioritising work. 
  • Provide and manage word processing systems, drafting letters, proof-reading assessments, preparing documents and correspondence as and when required to a high and accurate standard, checking accuracy and prioritising workload.
  • Provide an effective link with all levels of local authority personnel and other organisations.
  • Provide an effective link with members of the public. In particular, families and representatives of people using care services.
  • Undertake procurement as required, dealing with invoices in a timely manner, and answer any financial queries, ensuring that invoices match up to purchase orders to facilitate prompt payment. 
  • Provide senior administrative support and function to confidential HR and or staff meetings

 

We’re looking for someone with strong Maths and English skills (to GCSE grade C standard or equivalent), who has proven experience in Microsoft Office and has experience of providing senior administrative support and is confident in leading a small team of administrators. You’ll also have excellent organisational skills and attention to detail. You’ll be part of a small team and be provided with clear guidance on the specific administrative tasks required of you.
