Salary: £28,598 - £31,022 per annum pro rata
Hours: 37 hours per week
Location: You will be expected to attend a CBC office location as often as needed to carry out your role, which will be no less than once per month.
Contract Type: Hybrid - Permanent

About the role
The SEND Business Support Team provides comprehensive business support across all areas of the SEND Service, which sits within the Children and Familes Directorate. We have a vacancy for an experienced Business Support Officer to provide essential administrative support to our Education, Health and Care Team and across the wider service area as required.
The main tasks for this role include being the first point of contact for incoming calls and e-mail communications from parent/carers, schools and professionals, the timely processing of documentation in line with statutory deadlines and provision of full administrative support for regular SEND Panels and other meetings.
About You
Our successful candidate will bring the following experience, skills and behaviours to the role:
- Previous experience in a business support role.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, an empathetic manner and a commitment to providing excellent customer care at all times.
- Solid IT skills with experience in a range of Microsoft Office applications, including the use of spreadsheets. Experience in the use of management information databases.
- The ability to deal with high volumes of data, ensuring data is entered in a timely manner and with a high level of accuracy whilst maintaining full awareness of GDPR protocol.
- Experience in organising and supporting meetings, including agenda preparation, minute taking and co-ordinating follow up actions.
- Enthusiastic and hardworking, with a pro-active and flexible approach.
- The ability to thrive whilst working in a constantly busy environment, excellent organisational and prioritisation skills and the ability to remain calm and focused when under pressure.
