Hours: 18.5 hours per week
Location: You will be expected to attend a CBC office location as often as needed to carry out your role, which will be no less than twice per week.

About the role:
In Children’s Service’s we aim to give every child excellent care and a promising future. By supporting families and keeping children safe, we’re helping to make Central Bedfordshire a great place to live. As a Family Partner, you will be critical to the success of the Children with Disabilities team in Central Bedfordshire. You will work with families at an early stage to make a difference and prevent escalation of needs and concerns.
In this important and varied role, you will adopt an assertive and persistent approach to work collaboratively with families and other teams/agencies in order to undertake an assessment of need following referral, and to get Early Help in place to prevent escalation of concerns for families with children who have a disability. You will deliver a high-quality assertive service to engage with chidlren and families with multiple and complex needs and provide direct work that meets the individual child and family needs. You will case manage and take on the lead professional role (including chairing and coordinating meetings) for children and families, working with the whole family on the basis to bring about positive change.
You will work with a range of multi-agency service providers to co-ordinate and deliver a proactive service according to families identified needs on the basis of 'One Family One Plan' including support on child and parental mental health, online safety, bullying, self-esteem, drug and alcohol problems and domestic violence, ensuring that support is regularly reviewed and the case is closed when needs have been met.
