Salary: £35,412 to £38,220 per annum pro rata
Hours: Full-time, 37 hours per week
Base Location: You will be expected to attend a CBC office location as often as needed to carry out your role, which will be no less than once per month.
Contract Type: Hybrid – 6 months fixed term contract / secondment opportunity

In recent years we have made significant improvements to our Housing systems and are continuing to strive to improve the resident experience in this area so are looking for talented forward-thinking team members who can help us on our journey.
We are seeking an experienced IT System Administrator within a busy IT environment to play a key part in ensuring the stability, security, and effective day‑to‑day running of our Housing systems. You will work closely with housing teams, suppliers, and IT colleagues to deliver reliable system access, manage incident resolution and provide workflow improvements. As part of our talented team, you'll collaborate with like-minded colleagues who share your passion for technology and its ability to help improve the lives of our residents and to better support our staff.
The key responsibilities of the role will include:

Management of user access and role-based permissions across our MRI One Housing application

Providing incident resolution and user support

Maintenance and updating of support documentation and knowledge databases

Implementing and maintaining simple no-code/low-code workflow amendments

Monitoring system integrations and services, including SFTP file transfers and

Supporting testing for any new developments
The successful candidate would be expected to be educated to BTEC / NVQ Level 3+ or HNC/HND in Computing with 2–5 years’ experience in an IT or System Administration environment which would include hands-on experience of user support though the management of incident queues and SLA‑based support.
ITIL 4 Foundation certification is also essential with practical application in incident and request handling plus change management.
Experience of working within the housing sector, within a local authority/council is preferred alongside a knowledge of the MRI One Housing application.
Although not essential experience with no-code/low-code platforms (e.g. workflow tools and Power Automate) and basic scripting knowledge (e.g. PowerShell) would be an advantage.
We are looking for candidates who can work independently, manage competing priorities and show a strong customer-focused approach. Attention to detail is also essential around access control and data handling.
