Placement Officer

Team: Home Finding Team 
Job Family: Providing – CBG9 
Salary: £34,811 - £37,562 per annum
Hours: 37 hours per week 
Location: You will be expected to attend a CBC office location as often as needed to carry out your role, which will be no less than once per month.
Contract Type: Hybrid - Permanent
Closing Date: 2nd July 2026

About the role:  

The Home Finding Team is a small and friendly team which offers a supportive environment within the wider function of Children’s Services. The team is a key part of delivering services to children and young people in our area. The Placement Officer role is responsible for:   

  • Work with vulnerable children and young people who are either at risk of harm or in need of services.

  • Advocating for children, young people and families.

  • Providing comprehensive business and administrative support.

  • Carry out financial administration.

  • Ensuring timely and cost-effective provision of resources and placements.

 

The successful candidate will have a good organisational and communication skills and will have experience of using Mosaic, Excel and Outlook. You will be a good team player and be equally capable of individual work.
