Salary: Social Worker Level 2 - £38,476 - £40,069 per annum pro rata plus MRS £5,150 per annum pro rata
Senior Practitioner - £41,042- £44,296 per annum pro rata plus MRS £5,150 per annum pro rata
Hours: 22.5 hours per week
Location: You will be expected to attend a CBC office location as often as needed to carry out your role, which will be no less than once per month.
Contract: Fixed Term - 12 months

About the role:
In our Children and Families directorate, we are determined to safeguard and protect vulnerable children and achieve great outcomes. Our Adoption team recruit, assess and support prospective adopters who are able to provide placement choice and high quality care to children who require adoption. We help enable adults and families to live well and have positive, healthy relationships. It’s all about creating better outcomes and a bright new generation for our community and helping children to thrive by supporting adoptive families.
Being an Adoption Social Worker is an important and rewarding role. You’ll be part of a dedicated and established team with an excellent record of recruiting and supporting adopters and children. You’ll make sure that each team member and adopter understands their role and responsibilities and that the service is able to provide a choice of high quality placements for children who require adoption. By providing training and support, you will ensure that children are placed without delay with families who are able to meet each individual childs needs and National Minimium Standards and ensure and maintain the service professional standards.
We are looking for a Social Worker/Senior Practitioner who is HCPC registered. You will know about statutory social work practice and completing complex assessments. Experience of using a wide range of social work techniques with children and families will also be of benefit. Your technical talents should come with a calm, organised approach, and you will be supporting others in a crisis and using your initiative to solve issues and recommend support plans. You will also have the communication skills to present high quality reports to panels and work with other agencies. You will need sound IT skills and be capable with a professional conduct at all times.
