Salary: £38,476 - £40,069 per annum pro rata + MRS £7,000 per annum pro rata
Hours: 37 Hours per week
Location: Hybrid - Working from home and any Council offices, including Priory House, Shefford. You will be expected to attend an office location monthly, and as needed to carry out your role
Contract Type: Hybrid - Permanent

Join The South Locality Older Person’s Team – a highly professional and multi-skilled Adult Social Care team supporting individuals aged 65+ across Dunstable, Leighton Buzzard, Houghton Regis and surrounding villages.
As part of the wider Community Assessment Service, we are committed to person-centred, strengths-based practice, always aiming to improve the outcomes and quality of life for older adults in our communities.
About the Role
As an experienced Social Worker, you'll play a vital role in:
- Assessing, reviewing and support planning in line with the Care Act 2014
- Promoting independence and wellbeing through early intervention and proactive care management
- Building strong relationships with service users, carers, health professionals, housing, and other partners
- Ensuring people have access to the right support at the right time, and are empowered to live fulfilling, independent lives
You will carry out your statutory duties with compassion, professionalism, and a clear commitment to achieving best value and high-quality outcomes.
We are committed to continuous professional development, ongoing training, supervision and opportunities to gain further qualifications. Our teams are supportive and hold manageable case loads
About You
You are:
- A qualified Social Worker with Social Work England registration
- Experienced in care management and strengths-based approaches
- Confident in applying the Care Act 2014 and safeguarding principles
- A natural collaborator who can build effective partnerships across services
- Passionate about delivering high-quality, person-centred social work practice
