Hours: 0 hours, as required by the service
Location: You will be expected to attend a CBC office location as often as needed to carry out your role, which will be no less than once per month

About the role:
This is a fantastic opportunity to join the Medical Needs Education Team; a team dedicated to making a difference to the lives of young people who are unable to attend school due to illness.
This is a rare and exciting opportunity to join a passionate team of experienced and driven teachers, who work collaboratively to ensure that all young people achieve the best possible educational outcomes and reach their potential. We are a child centred team who hold wellbeing policy at the heart of all that we do and therefore we place an emphasis on offering superb professional development and support to all members of the team.
Your role will be to teach and inspire KS3 and KS4 children in Maths; personalising their learning to meet their medical needs and SEND and motivating these students to achieve despite their considerable personal challenges. Lessons are mainly 1:1 and will take place in a range of locations including homes and libraries, depending on the child’s needs. In addition, the post holder will work closely with other professionals and the pupil and their family, to deliver a strategic reintegration plan and to ensure the best possible outcomes.
We are looking for an enthusiastic and patient individual who has a passion for seeing young people succeed. You need to be a proactive problem solver with excellent communication skills and have the ability to work flexibly and independently. You will also need to be an excellent teacher of Mathematics to GCSE. Experience of teaching for mastery in mathematics would be an advantage.
Qualified to degree level with qualified teacher status and several years teaching experience, you will have a full UK driving licence and the ability to drive to travel as part of the role. Previous experience of working in a SEND/ pastoral role would be an advantage.

- Has a full UK driving licence and car and the ability to drive to travel as part of the role
